Deadly crash kills one, injures 3 in Charlotte

Deadly accident in east Charlotte

A tragic car accident recently occurred in east Charlotte. A GMC Yukon was traveling north on North Sharon Amity Rd. when it hit a Mitsubishi Galant that was making a left turn onto North Sharon Amity Rd. from Wilora Lake Rd. The Mitsubishi was pushed into the southbound lanes of North Sharon Amity Rd. as the result of the crash and was hit by a Ford Focus. The driver of the Mitsubishi was pronounced dead at the scene and three others were taken to the hospital with injuries. Investigators believe the driver of the GMC Yukon was traveling at a high rate of speed and recklessly which led to the fatal crash. He has been arrested and charged with reckless driving, driving while license revoked, involuntary manslaughter, and fictitious registration.
